THE STATE IS TAKING STEPS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF THE CONSUMER MARKET

On October 25, the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Market and Consumer Interests of the Ministry of Economy and Industrial Infrastructures of the Artsakh Republic convened a meeting with representatives of economic entities to brief on the functions and problems of the Inspectorate.

 It was noted that the meeting was aimed at preventing violations in the realization of non-food products and assisting the economic entities to eliminate the deficiencies, as well as protecting the people from the risks resulting from these violations. In general, there are 33 fields subject to the inspection by the Inspectorate, the technical regulations of 23 of which have already been adopted by the relevant Government decisions.

Head of the Inspectorate Gagik Narimanyan noted the existing problems at the consumer’s market, the necessity of their elimination, and the steps being taken by the state in this direction. Head of the Quality Infrastructure Department Tigran Najaryan briefed on the policy conducted in this field. Director of the ‘Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification’ Company Sergey Harutyunyan stressed the necessity of taking actions by the relevant bodies to regulate the market and touched upon the relations of the Inspectorate with the economic entities.

Over the years, numerous issues have emerged in the field, the solution to which both economic entities and the sphere’s officials expect to get. This was the first and encouraging meeting with entrepreneurs in this format.
