THE AIM IS TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE PROBLEMS

On October 22, President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan visited the Office of the Union of Missing Freedom Fighters' Relatives and met with the members of the organization.

The initiator was the head of state, aiming to get acquainted with the problems of the missing freedom fighters’ relatives once again before the 20th anniversary of the Union, as well as to discuss some proposals that had been previously presented by the Chairwoman of the Union.

“The uncertainty of the missing freedom fighters’ fate is a tragic page in the history of Artsakh. The authorities of the country have always responded to the problems raised by the organization’s leadership and will continue to do so in the future. In this regard, there is no better way of helping you and coping with your grief together with you. Financial means have never been and will never be an obstacle for us to carry out searching works and to implement more productive activities", said President Sahakyan.

In turn, Chairwoman of the Union Vera Grigoryan briefed on the organization’s activities for the recent years, noting that the multi-year searches had not given any results in many cases.  The NGO has implemented different works since its formation, but many people still expect for final results. The Union Chairwoman expressed her gratitude to the Artsakh authorities and all those who had supported the activities of the organization in every possible way.

The President was accompanied by Head of the President’s Office Marat Musayelian.
