On the initiative of Stepanakert Municipality, a festive event was organized in the Circular Park after Stepan Shahumyan on the occasion of the International Children's Day. The event started with congratulations and best wishes. Then the students of Stepanakert Children and Youth Creativity Center, House of Culture, Gyurjyan Art School performed national song and dance. At the event, children were provided with painting accessories, colored chalks to paint their dreams. David, holding a pencil, tells about his desire to become an artist and to have peace. "I want peace in Artsakh, so that I can always paint Artsakh colourful and sunny. Now I am painting the monument to "Grandma and Grandpa" in a sunny weather, so that it will always be our aegis. "I came here to have fun and play." David's mother, Mrs. Gayane, considers it important to care for children, especially today. "Today, such events help children to overcome the fear and psychological pressure caused by the war. "We must help them overcome them today, so that we do not face a bigger problem tomorrow," our interlocutor said. The cultural program of the event dedicated to the International Children's Day was concluded with the performance of "The Armenian Mouse" by the Mkrtich Khandamiryan Theater of Shushi.
