ANOTHER HUMANITARIAN PROGRAM BY TASHIR FOUNDATION
For every country, especially for the Republic of Artsakh, one of the priorities is the encouragement of the birth rate and large families.
On January 20, a significant event took place in Stepanakert for 213 families, in which the 4th child was born in 2016. The event was attended by NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, representative of Tashir benevolent foundation, the Karapetyans' family member Narek Karapetyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Samvel Avanesyan, other officials, and guests. The day was memorable, because Chairman of Tashir Foundation Samvel Karapetyan donated $4.000per family,in which the 4th child was born in 2016.
According to NKR Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Samvel Avanesyan, along with the difficulties on the way since the Republic's indepence up today, the authorities have always focused on one of the Government's prioritiy issues – family and children. To this end, numerous programs were implemented.Over the past 10 years, to encourage the birth rate, the Government has opened term deposits in 4 billion and 163 million AMD for the 3rd and following chid; moreover, it has allocated lump sum allowances in 5 billion and 683 million AMD and benefits in 7 billion and 420 million AMD to care about the children up to their two-year-old age. While until January 1, 2016, houses were built for families having six under-age children, then since January 1, 2016, the program has comprised also families having five under-age children. The state programs are also supported by benefactors. More than a year ago, the program on providing financial support to the families, where the 4th child is born between 2016 and 2018, was launched on the proposal of NKR President Bako Sahakyan and the contribution of Chairman of Tashir benevolent foundation Samvel Karapetyan.
The parents present at the solemn event were handed receipts, according to which they can receive the corresponding amount in Artsakhbank CJSC branches. In addition, they received certificates for 18-year-term deposit accounts amounting to 700.000 AMD each.In 2008, the great patriot was one of the largest donors of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. Thanks to his investments, a number of key projects were launched in the NKR and Armenia: in honor of the benefactor's parents, Sargis and Amalia Karapetyans, the Republican Medical Center was built in Stepanakert, a water-supply system was constructed in Martuni, students from Artsakh and Javakhk, studying at the educational institutions in the Republic of Armenia, were provided with scholarships., as well as numerous other programs were implemented. The NKR Minister of Labor and Social Affairs expressed his deep gratitude to the well-known benefactor for similar patriotic projects.Thanks to the latest project, the number of large families, having four children, has increased by 47%, compared with 2015. The Karapetyans expressed their readiness to always support any program ensuring the welfare of the people of Artsakh. The large families' representatives also thanked the benefactor for the assistance rendered to them.
NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan compared Samvel Karapetyan with great benefactor of the last century Mantashov. «Samvel Karapetyan is the keynote representative of the Armenian philanthropy and the greatest benefactor of the 21st century», he said.
The participants of the event expressed their gratitude to Samvel Karapetyan for the implementation of numerous programs in Artsakh.
