For resolving the dwelling issue in the Kashatagh region, construction materials are provided to the people, houses are built for large families and those of deceased soldiers. Recently, two multi-apartment buildings have been built in the town of Kovsakan.

As we reported earlier, on November 12, the Valex Garden Hotel Company organized a conference in Stepanakert on tourism development in Artsakh.

REPRESENTATIVES OF THE TOURISM DEPARTMENT HAVE RETURNED FROM THE EXHIBITION IN MILAN
On February 22, head of the department of tourism and protection of the historic environment Sergey Shahverdian convened a press conference. It was aimed at presenting the results of the NKR participation in the recent tourism exhibition in Milan.
Before proceeding to the basic issue, S. Shahverdian informed that 2 days ago, the Armenian cinema center Awakening recognized as the year's best documentary the film «Karabakh is a Hidden Treasure», which was ordered by the NKR Department of Tourism and was presented last year.

IMPROVEMENT WORKS IN HAKOBAVANK
On the initiative of the religious organization Fraternity of Worshippers of the Armenian Apostolic Church, improvement works were conducted last week in the monastery complex Hakobavank (or monastery of St. Hakob) located on the right bank of the Khachen River, 1.5 km from the village Kolatak, Martakert region. In the historical literature, this monument of Armenian architecture is also noted as Metsaran.
The environmental NGO Zepyur also joined the works.

MEETING AT THE NKR NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
On February 13, NKR NA Chairman Ashot Ghulian received first Chairman of the National Council of the Slovakian Republic Frantisek Miklosko and members of his delegation, which had paid an acquainting visit to Artsakh: Rector of the Central European University Heyde Shvartsova, Chairman of Vahostav Company Jan Cato and head of Khemolak enterprise Roman Shustek. The delegation was accompanied by leader of the Slovakian Armenian community and Chairman of the Forum of Armenian Associations of Europe Ashot Grigorian.
